When you come together and take part in a family tradition everyone has a sense of belonging. This is so important for children because it helps them feel accepted and part of the family unit. Our school's Christmas tradition involves the children dressing up, singing, and dancing to Christmas carols in Spanish and English. With anticipation and nervous excitement, the children spend more than one month rehearsing to show their parents their new dance moves and songs. Finally on the big day, the children perform and demonstrate everything they have learned over the past month. It is one of the most important days of the year for them and their proud families.
